Very nice article demonstrating that you don't have to know how neural networks work to use them.
For those who are curious about how they work, I wrote a neural network OCR demo back in the early 'nineties that I sold in PC Magazine. It does a pretty good job of explaining the mathematics of the feed-forward/back-propagation algorithm. It is a DOS executable written in QuickBASIC that shows the network architecture and mathematics and shows the neural network learning to recognize alphanumeric characters.
