Database Mail Problems

  • Thanks for reply. We have just solved it. SQL Server was installed on the server without SSIS, hence no SMTP components, hence no email.

    Thanks to everyone for there help.

    SQL Server shouldn't require SSIS in order to use database mail. SSIS SMTP mail should be completely separate from the database engine SMTP mail.

    You should report this to Microsoft. Those two components should NOT be interdependant that way.
