Defragmented figure not updated after index rebuild

    After seeing fragmentation report we run Index rebuild on a particular table but still that table coming in fragmentation report and showing same figure.

    Why it is happening ?

    Any idea ?

    How big is the index? How many pages (or how many kb)?

    Index is on 2 GB data.

    Is the table a heap?

    Are you shrinking the database after the rebuild?
