  Hi everyone,

  I need to look into how SQL Server 2005 OLAP cubes can be delivered with MS-Excel. I would like to start by the security aspects: mainly, the way that excel connects to the server. Do I need a OleDB, ODBC data source in each client workstation? Does Excel make use of the API for the SQL Server web services (what I would prefer..).

  In the business I am currently working for there are several concerns in regards to ODBC-like connections.

  Also, I would appreciate any pointer to security related information for deployment of Analysis Services.

  It uses Analysis Services 9.0 OLE DB Provider, you have to install it in every workstation.
