Designing SSRS columns

  • Hello All,

    I have a report that i created in Crystal, that shows the directory of a company.

    The directory is in a multiple column format.

    Example:

    Name 1 Name 4 Name 7

    Add1 Add4 Add7

    Name 2 Name 5 Name 8

    Add2 Add5 Add8

    Name 3 Name 6 Name 9

    Add3 Add6 Add9

    Is there any way of doing the same in SSRS? I have created quite a few reports in SSRS but do not see an option of repeating columns in there?

    A simple example to explain what i am trying to achieve is:

    Example:

    This is how a sequence would look in ssrs:

    1

    2

    3

    4

    5

    6

    7

    8

    9

    10

    And this is what i am trying to achieve:

    1 4 7

    2 5 8

    3 6 9

  • I asked this question a while back. And the answerrrrrrr is.......

    if you click on the yellow area of your design screen, then view the Report Properties. Then scroll down through the options and you'll see one called COLUMNS. Click on the + sign and you'll the next option called Columns again with a 1 as the value. Change the 1 value to whatever number of columns you need.

    That should take care of it.

    I have tried this in SSRS 2008, when I changed the Columns count to 3, in the design it is showing 2 additional columns with the specified width in between them, but in the preview as well as in the exported excel, the entire data it is showing in only one column!!!!

    I have attached the screenshots. I tried some options but no luck !!!
