The feature to detach and attach the database is gray out (not available). How can you perform this task if these features are not available to use in SQL Server enterprise Manager

You may not have the rights to do this but the T-SQL commands are sp_attach_db and sp_detach_db. You can learn more about them thru BOL or support.microsoft.com or from one of the forums here
