distrubution server configuration HELL

    i am trying to configure a server as a distributer and a publisher using enterprise manager. i go through all the steps and when i click finish  iget there error:

    could not configure "servername" as distributor for "servername"

    Error 14114 "

     

    HELP. any ideas?

    is the server registration in enterprise manager local, if so change to server name. Also it is best to terminal into the server where the sql instance is that you are actualy setting up the replication
