DTS Error

    I have just installed SQL Server 2000 SP3 and am getting the following error when manually running a DTS package from the server : "xpsql.cpp: Error 87 from GetProxyAccount on line 604" All the stored procedures which are called from the DTS package run fine when I run them separately. Most of them make use of the xp_cmdshell command. If anyone has any ideas to what may be causing this, I'd love to hear from you. Thanks

    With SP3, they changed the level of permissions required to run xp_cmdshell.

    Are you on the same machine as the SQL Server? If not, you need to install SP3 on your machine too. You also may need to open the DTS Package on the server and re-save it so that it saves as an SP3 package.
