  My server configuration is SQL server 7.0 with SP2 running on Windows NT with SP6 in multiple connection environments using TCP/IP network.

  Problem:

  When we start SQL mail and connect to the server using IP from local machine (NT authentication), we got an error message as following

  Error 18452: Login failed for user 'null'. Reason: Not associated with a trusted SQL Server connection

  But connection using server name is okay.

  OR

  If we do not start SQL Mail, we can connect by all means. I already set the authentication is ¡¥SQL server and Windows NT¡¦ in security of SQL server properties.

  Any leads to solve this problem will be helpful.
