error message when running antivirus

    hi all, i have symantec antivirus scanning biztalk server 2004 which is running from my sql server 2000 box, but when it tries to scan i get an error message:

    ERROR

    Message: Unhandled exception caught, exception details: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding.

    at System.Data.SqlClient.ConnectionPool.CreateConnection()

    at System.Data.SqlClient.ConnectionPool.PoolCreateRequest(Object state).

    any suggestions?

    Rule of thumb, never include datafile folder to virus scanning. Exclude data files and transaction log file folder from the scan and see if you get the same error.

    thanks for your reply, yes we tried that and we still got the same error. i checked the event log and there is only a few connections during the time the error occurrs. any other suggestions?
