Event ID 208 SQL server agent error

    Hi,

    I am new to SQl DBA, today i have created maintenance plan to perform full backup of single small database and scheduled a job daily for minute on SQL server 2008 .

    Maintenance plan was created succesfully but when executing it or when starting a job am getting an error like this

    SQL Server Scheduled Job 'MaintenancePlan1.Subplan_1' (0x568F0A15EE89744DBD353DFE084552D9) - Status: Failed - Invoked on: 2010-05-16 18:14:00 - Message: The job failed. The Job was invoked by Schedule 10 (MaintenancePlan1.Subplan_1). The last step to run was step 1 (Subplan_1).

    So, can anyone please help me.

    What does the history of the maintenance plan say?

    Hi,

    I do experienced this before but Im handling SQL Server 7:-)

    Just want to help in some ways. Is this the only maintenance plan you have executed or are the existing jobs already? Is there is already existing, check the schedules. There might be overlapping of jobs, the reason you got failed jobs.
