export to excel default to portrait

  • It seems like every report I do when I export it to excel the default setting for that excel worksheet is set to landscape.

90% of the time that is what I want.

What about the other 10%. Can you force the setting?

My end users find it too "difficult" to change the setting from the printer properties.

  • Read the very last entry in this thread.

  • LOL!

Yes if you set the body of your report so the height is larger then the width it will change the format of your exported excel to portrait.

Never would I have tried that.

Kinda stinks cause now I have all this blank space in the layout. (No it doesn't show that space when you render the report)

    Thank you very much.
