Exporting Numeric data into Excel

    Hi,

    When I create a data flow task in SSIS package to transfer data from SQL SERVER to Excel files, the numeric fields i.e are showing up in the Excel file as text values and I have to convert them to numeric to be able to do calculations with them. Id there any way to have the exported data in Excel files as numbers not text?

    This has been a common problem, I read somewhere and they said it has something to do with the Jet driver? Anyway, I tried adding a macro in my template file that takes care of converting the text data back to int. It worked for me.
