We have a customer who is getting a login failure. The error message says only "Login failed for user" and gives a Error number of 18456 and a State of 8. Error state 8 is "Password mismatch". Error state 9 is "Invalid password". "Invalid password" is, obviously, an invalid password. What is "Password mismatch"? And, what makes "Password mismatch" different from "Invalid password"? And, how do you cure a "Password mismatch"? I have not yet been able to find an explanation, anywhere, of just what "Password mismatch" is. Does anyone here know? Thanks.
