FTP task to download only latest file

    Hi All.

    Newbie to SSIS. I was wondering if there is a method within the FTP Task editor to receive only the latest files from the remote directory?

    There is no option available in FTP task as such but I guess with help of ftp commands it could be done.The ftp script to be executed in Execute Process task.

    There are some 3rd party add-ons to SSIS that I've used in the past that will let you pull information about the files on the remote FTP server. Once you have that you can write up something to select only the one you want.

    I'd have to go look up which one I used. It's been a couple years.
