    Depends on which aspect of SSAS you mean.

    SSAS in Multi Dimensional Mode is a fairly mature and well established product. Whilst it's unlikely to undergo any drastic changes it is stable and well used in many industries. I can't see it being depreciated any time soon.

    SSAS in Tabular Mode is only a few years old and represents Microsoft's attempt at leveraging the current focus on In-Memory BI. SSAS Tabular will likely undergo quite a few more changes as it matures and the industry changes.

    There are plenty of resources out there that look at industry uptake and uses of various BI technologies, have a search on the internet and consider the pros and cons for everything.

    While there are many limitations to the Tabular Model, the tabular model is great tool for accelerating a prototype from power (excel) user to IT and even reusing that work--increasing business/IT agility. However, it is a bit difficult to sell it as an enterprise solution due to some limitations:

    whats your opinion on ssis ???

    i am working as report developer ??

    I have 1 1/2year exp in ssrs reports and

    now recently i joined ssas and ssis job??

    is it a god career ! in future which position i can look for?

    SSIS is a great ETL tool, but it has its shortcomings:

    * no metadata management

    * no documentation

    * crappy code editors

    On the other hand it is fast and fully extendable with .NET.

    It is a nice career, being a BI developer.

    But instead of worrying about your next position, shouldn't you try to become good at your current one?

    I really hope the release after SQL Server 2014 starts to address the metadata management issue. Sqlmetadata.codelpex.com has done an admirable job synchronizing metadata from the BI continuum, but it is time metadata management capabilities are enriched and more professionally sewn into SSIS.

    Granted, it is an extremely tough problem to address, but the progress made in SQL Server 2012 gives me hope that SSIS will continue to evolve....
