how to access the dts designer in sql 2005?

    i've got the 2000 DTS Designer Components installed on my machine,

    and have moved over dts packages via 'dts migration wizard' so now

    they exist, and i can see them under my legacy folder from management

    studio, but now i want to edit them so how do i access the dts designer?

    any ideas?

    Right-click on a package in Management Studio and select "open".

    i see...

    i couldn't do that before cause i 'migrated' them over with the wizard.

    now having looked over the 'open' selection more closely i see that it's

    looking for a .dts package. so now i suppose i'll need to go and export

    all my 2000 dts packages as a .dts file and then right click, 'open'.

    it sounds as though the 'dts migration wizard' wasn't the best way to go.
