How to edit a SQL 2000 Report with Visual Studio 2005?

    Hi,

    I need advice on what path to take to edit a SQL 2000 report.

    Here is what is on my development pc :

    Visual Studio 2003 <-- No Report Template Projects for SQL Reports 2000, I can't find them so they must have not been installed or other system changes occurred.

    Visual Studio 2005

    SQL Server 2000 local db and local client tools.

    SQL Server 2005 Client Tools only.

    I can't remember if the project templates for SQL 2000 Reports was separate install or not. Also reporting Services locally is now running the 2005 version.

    The actual production server is still running SQL 2000 versions.

    Ugg, help.

    If more info is needed just let me know.

    Does anybody have any idea why I don't see the Business Intelligence Project Templates for Visual Studio 2003? My local SQL 2000 has SP3.

    Reporting services was released in 2004 as a separate tool almost two years after VS2003 was released. So I am not sure how you get the SSRS templates for VS2003, you could try installing SSRS 2000 in the same box with VS2003 and you need to be in SQL Server 2000 SP4.
