How to map a user who is sysadmin to a non dbo database schema. updating sys.database_principals?

    Hi All,

    Is there any way to update sys.database_principlas tables. Cuz it gives Ad hoc updates to system catalogs are not allowed error. My aim is just to map a user who's sysadmin to a nondbo schema

    dac does not work by the way

    Updates to system tables are not permitted. Besides you shouldn't even be considering changing the system tables. Back in SQL 2000 when that was possible, all sorts of messes were made by doing so.

    I was gonna post something about system tables updates then somehow i end up asking the same question. my bad. I will consider your warning next time
