Howto also copy/paste column name in Query Analyze

  • Is there any way to include the column names when I copy and paste the grid results from Query Analyzer?

    Pete

  • Not that I know. Unless you include first the columns that you need to copy in the select clause, so they are all contiguous.

  • Or change the output to text instead of grid.

  • If you're copying and pasting into Excel, output to text and change the results to tab-delimited.

Then you can copy and paste the whole lot straight into Excel.

    Hope this helps

  • Also you can do this with a view in EM. After opening the view, mark the columns, Ctr+C and paste.
