import access data to sql

    hai all,

    i am new to this group.

    we have one project in vb .....and due to upgrading reason we convert it into vb.net with sql server as backend.

    now my problem is to how to convert the access database we already maintened to sql server programatically..

    pls help....any ideas also welcome..

    Welcome to the group!!!! This a great place to find information and help.

    I think the best way to do the conversion is using DTS (SSIS in 2005) Which will create your tables and import that data for you. There will be some things you will need to tweak, but Access and SQL speak to each other very well. Refere to Books-On-Line (BOL) to understand how it is done. If you have any problems come back and ask.
