index on col where inseration is heavy

    Hi All,

    can i Create non-clusered index on a column where cureent date (getdate) inserted upto 5000 row every day;

    reson to create is every time developers uses this col for serching

    5000 rows a day is not many inserts, that's extremely low activity. If the index is needed, create it and test impact (in a dev environment)
