  I have 2 existing development/test sql server 2000 environments and now have been handed a new 64 bit server to add to this mix. In my world have existing 3 party apps and DTS packages. Should I install the 32 bit version of sql 2000 enterprise edition on this new box to play well with my existing world, or install the 64 bit version

  You can run DTS packages only on 32 bits, the DTS components doesn't exists for 64 bits.
