Install SQL Server 2008 on a new node in cluster

  • we had a 2 node cluster with only 1 instance running on it.

now, the customer has introduced a new node..

How do I install existing SQL Server on this node?

This is sql 2008.so, I believe I have to run the setup from the new node?

  • I got the error message that sql server 2008 R2 setup required .net framework 3.5 SP1 to be installed?

what am I suppose to do here?

I see that .net framework 4 is installed on the server?

  • How would I ensure that My installation doesn't go to C Drive but I want to put it on D Drive?

Which OS? In Win2008R2 you just enable the feature.

This is something you can change during the setup.
