  • If I’m not mistaken, build 10.00.1075 is a CTP. Is there any reason that you still work with a CTP?

I’m not sure that this should cause an error (I can’t check it since I don’t have any old CTP around). Can you specify what is the error that you are getting? Regardless of the cause of your problem, I recommend that you’ll stop using the CTP.

  • Error :

Restore failed for Server '' (Microsoft.SqlServer.SmoExtended)

    Additional Information

System.Data.SqlClient.SqlError: The database was backed up on a server running version 10.00.1600.

That version is incompatible with this server, which is running version 10.00.1075.

Either restore the database on a server that supports the backup, or use a backup that is compatible with this server.

    (Microsoft.SqlServer.Smo).

Any way I will change the CTP version from my system and thanks for ur reply

  • Adi is correct. the RTM build is 1600. There is no workaround. You must upgrade the other server to at least the RTM version.
