MSSQL2k job that runs ActiveX Script to cleanup / delete backup files older than 7 days. Had been running without any issue and seems like a hiccup last night. Job failed with following:
Executed as user: abc
Error Code: 0
Error Source = Microsoft VBScript runtime error
Error Description: Permission denied.
My questions are
1) Is it in fact a permission issue? is the description somewhat reliable?
2) Granted, I'm not sure what happened on the UNC path (I do not have access to the servers - only server admins do); what reason(s) could possibly have happened that would throw the following error?
The failed job is scheduled at 10:30pm. There's another job that runs from a different server using the same username doing the same exact thing for the same UNC path with exception to the server name and runs at 11:00pm; this job completed without any issues.
Could it simply be just a glitch at the 10:30pm?
