We always buy SQL server processor license, in SQL 2000 there is an option on choosing how many processors for the installation, but there is no choice on SQL 2005. What if there are 4 processors and I only bought 2 processor licenses?
Licensing in 2005 is done on a trust basis so it will use all 4 processors but you will obvioulsy be in violation of the license. Remember though that MS counts multi core processors as just one processor.
