Limit on number of reports running

  Hello,

  I just wanted to ask you if we can set a limit on number of reports running on SSRS i.e. like limit the report running to 20 or 30.

  I’m asking this because when there are 90 or 100 reports running, they all are queued up and they are taking very long to complete.

  Are they all competing for the same data resources (tables, views, etc.)??

  This is a difficult question to answer with anything but it depends.

  -It depends on your hardware

  -It depends on the queries the reports are running

  -It depends on other load and I/O factors on the server at the time

  etc.

  I think the practical answer is that the limit for your situation is when you notice an impact on performance.

  They use different data source and tables. I was looking for something like crystal report has limit of running 20 reports at a time.
