One of the admin move our SQL 2000 DB to another server (2008 DB), when we try to run one of our SP's it failed because the old linkserver is no longer there and the database is now on the new server. The failed SP doesn't have any hardcode reference of the old server but yet it fails when trying to execute it with the provider "SQLNCI" link server ....."Unspecified error". Is there a DSN which is connecting the two?
