Hello!
I am just trying to confirm that 'lock pages in memory' has no effect on SQL Server 2008 64-bit Standard Edition unless I have SP1 CU2 installed:

I have just setup Active/Active SQL Server 2008 64-bit STD SP1 cluster. I was wondering if ability to grant 'lock pages in memory' is a good enough reason to install CU2.
Advice on this matter is greatly appreciated,

I'd say you 100% correct on:
A - standard edition x64 2008 SP1 and 2005 SP3 will not utilise this setting unless you apply the CU's
B - that it IS a good enough reason to install the CU 😀
