Log Shipping

    Hi All,

    We are implementing the logshipping mechanism for reporting purpose on secondary databases ...

    if any error occurs, while restoring the t-log to the secondary server ...will there be any chances of secondary database getting corrupted?

    It depends. We can't say for sure.

    Eg. Restore job may fail due to some space issue. In that case, restore may not have happened regularly but the problem can be fixed on reclaiming\adding space.

    In this case, the secondary db would be just out of sync with primary and once the restore job is fixed the db may come back to normal.
