log shipping between different Service Pack levels

  • Does anybody know of any issues regarding log shipping if you primary is running SQL2012 Standard SP2 and your Standby server is running SQL2012 Standard SP3. Does it even matter ?

    No.
From 2012 to SQL 2014 would be a problem (well, failover is fine, failback wouldn't be possible), but the service packs don't bump the internal DB version, so doesn't bother log shipping.

That said, you should patch the SP2 box sometime.

Yes we will patch the SP2 box at some point.
