  MS-SQL server 6.5

  when I try to open my server it gives me error "A connection could not be established to Server_name- [SQL Server] Logical page 832241 of the log encountered while retrieving highest timestamp in database 'pubs' is not the last page of the log and we are not currently recovering that database"

  I try to run DBCC but its still giving me the same error.....can anyone help me in find the solutions to this error??

  Are you using Transactional replication?

  It seems like a problem in your db, do you have any option in dbcc to try to fix the db, like REPAIR_REBUILD in 6.5?
