Wow so much complaining about skipping a word in the question. I don't recognize most of the names of those complaining. I suspect that is because they haven't posted their own QOTD.Yes it caused me to pause and consider which edition. It didn't take too long to see Express in the title.

where is express edition mentioned in question.In the question title.
Just like many of the forum questions asked. You have to read the title too to get the full story.
Still hard to do, but it is a lesson learned many moons ago. People tend to put a lot of important information in the title of forum posts and qotd. IMHO - the title of a question is an important part of the question (it has given away the answer many many times). And for those that came from the newsletter link, the question is tagged as Express Edition in that newsletter - just have to read the entire section.

I'm surprised that somebody working in IT would use that argument. Face it, the question is poorly worded and ambiguous. Clarity is needed in the specification provided.
Because the question is so ambiguous, should the 524PB have been presented as the correct answer, those who answered 10GB could have been fobbed off with 'it never mentioned Express Edition in the actual question'... The correct answer to the question as presented is 524PB. If asked to take titles, and footnotes into account, then 10GB is the correct answer.

Actually if you want to start splitting hairs there is no correct answer because without the edition the question is incomplete and therefore unanswerable. And when was the last time you actually received specifications with everything spelled out all nice and tidy? I have rarely, if ever, not needed to look beyond the typed verbiage to fully understand a problem in the work environment.
I can't speak for everybody but getting a QOTD wrong is by no means a reason to get "fobbed off". There is nothing tangible from a good score on the QOTD. They are intended to challenge your knowledge of the topic. Sometimes there are some poorly worded ones or a key work missing (like today's). At the end of the day a right or wrong answer means nothing. If you are worried about your points on SSC you have already "earned" them by posting. If that isn't enough you can have mine. It isn't like you get a free sticker or something by having the most points.

Which argument? There is no more clarity in this response than in the question itself.

I do think the question should have included Express. When I test them, I see the title, so it didn't occur to me and I didn't read it closely enough.
