Medicaid Data 835 extension

    Hello All,

    I was recently introduced to a hospital claim processing system and see this manual process.

    1. The 1st step is to download .835 from CMS website

    2. Use Altova to transform and export this data into the SQL database.

    3. Use a sql query to make changes in the database.

    I created a web form to automate the last step, however i have not been able to find a way to automate the second step. I don't think there is a way that we can automate the first step.

    I truly appreciate comments and any insightful help.

    Do these files from the CMS have a .835 file extension or .x12 file extension?

    I have one requirement for process 835 files and loaded into database, Can you share your experience.
