Memory Question

    SQL Server 2005, SP 2, 64-bit, 14 GB RAM, Min Server Memory = 5632, Max Server Memory = 8192

    When you configure Min Server Memory and Max Server Memory does that apply to all SQL Server 2005 services (SQL Server, Analysis Server, SSIS, SQL Agent etc.) or does it only apply to SQLServr.exe?

    No, this setting is for SQL Server only, not SSIS, SSRS, SSAS and other features.

    You must configure "max server memory" to leave memory for these services the same way that you would to leave memory for IIS, OS and other applications that runs on the server.
