Microsoft using Oracle

  • I thought this was kind of funny, it is supposed to have something to do with MS training, but the page is broke, and here is what I got.

  • Not surprising. They ran lots of internal stuff(payroll, accounting, etc.) on an AS/400 for a long time. Supposed to be converting to 2000 with Great Plains.

I suspect there are still items running on other databases and technologies. Just as I'd guess a fair amount of Windows technologies exist at Oracle.

Might just be a test of Oracle v SQL Server, but it is still pretty funny.

  • It is funny, but how else do you think they become familiar with the competitions products. Looks bad on Microsoft to some folks but when you consider who failed looks bad on Oracle too.
