Missing Alert Type

    One of my SQL Servers has lost the "SQL Server performance condition alert" option from the Type combo-box when you are creating a new Alert.

    Does anyone have any ideas of how to get it back?

    I am not sure why it is missing but, I found the type being refrenced in the SysAlerts table as Event_Source. Please review the sp_helpalert, you will find that this value is hardcoded but it may give you some clues.
