More NULLs - need help BAD !

Depends a lot on what you want. If the results are invalid when selecting beyond the beginning of the proper range, Seems like you just have to check. Another option might be to just add a column to the output and display the minimum date. Since it is also an aggregate, the user could just recognize that the starting period is later for some entries than for others. (I know - I shouldn't assume that the user will understand the difference
