OK, every day I do something on a computer, I find some feature of some software/hardware to be VERY annoying.
Sometimes it's a slow refresh rate on google docs, other times I drop my keyboard and it lands on it's 'suspend' button.
today, it's ssms.
I'm typing data into a table having opened it with right-click->open table.
im typing in queries for use in dynamic sql.
every time I type SELECT and then a space before the column list I'm hitting space just before reasing the shift key so it's selecting the whole row. so I have to take my mouse, and click back in the text box before going back to my keyboard and continuing to type.
this is becoming most frustrating.
what are your annoying features of the day?

googles search engine since their little tweak where it outputs as you type.... i dont like it.

oh that is a pain.. especially when my wireless pen decides to drop its connection speed to my router down to 1.5Mbps

I'm beginning to find the new "intelli[non]sense" to be aggravating at times.

I'd have to say that intellisense is very annoying. The Red Gate SQL Prompt is better, and I'm learning to use it, but since I like to use things like "ID" as a field name, it always wants to add that in as identity or something else.

There are bits of the SQL Prompt engine that get me too. ID is one of them, as is the XQuery "value" function. It's case-sensitive, has to be lower-case, but Prompt always upper-cases it for me, with no way I can find to turn that off.
Inline auto-correct in word processor programs is a pain for me. I use the abbreviation HDA on a routine basis. It's actually important to a lot of my correspondence. Always gets "auto-incorrected" to "HAD" the moment I put punctuation or a space after it. Very annoying. I've added it to dictionaries, et al, but it keeps on "fixing" it regardless.
But that almost gets me started on MS Word. I HATE the programmers who wrote that piece of junk and all of the ways it thinks it knows what I want better than I do. All the awesomeness of Excel gets completely eaten up by the horrific craptasticness of Word.

Agreed. The stupid paragraph numbering "feature" especially gets me -- it's the closest I've ever come to tossing my PC out the window!!!

we DO NOT put 'Yours Truly' on letters. Truly isn't even a real word. try truthfully.
letters are supposed to end with Yours Sincerely if the letter is addressed to an individual or Yours Faithfully if addressed to Dear Sir/Madam.
Do not 'correct' my letter to yours truly!

I hate in SSMS when I inadvertently hover the mouse over something I have auto-hidden like Template Explorer and then it pauses for what seems like forever.

+3 (or 4) on Word. I tend to write in One Note or Edit Plus, and I'll drop into Word for spell/grammar checks, but the autocorrect stuff almost has me putting a fist through the monito some days.
