Moving Reporting Services Database (2000)

    Okay I'm familar with the SQL database Engine, but not Reporting Services.

    We are consolidating some of our SQL boxes, and I need to move the reporting services databases from one box to another.

    Now the SQL Reporting Services is installed on a third box.

    Whats the correct method of moving the databases (not the service) ?

    Hi,

    I think the quick solution is to backup and restore booth ReportServer and ReportServerTempDB database into new box. Then on the server that you run the SSRS service go to configuration tool and repoint database from old server to new one. If you have SSRS 2005 you need to remember about encryption key as well - in your situation 2000 - this should not be required. All should not take more then 5 minutes.
