MSSQL2005 : An attempt to connect to Report Server failed

    I am running MSSQL2005 Standard on Windows 2003 Standard.

    I have created a report project with Business Intelligence Development tool and run in Debug mode and it runs fine.

    Once I switch to Production mode and try to run the same project and I get the following error message :

    "An attempt to connect to report server failed"

    Any help?

    have you looked at the following? http://support.microsoft.com/kb/922656

    Remember, when using Visual Studio, changing from Debug to Release can mean different 'runtime' settings, so maybe check your project properties, see what the server target is for Debug and then what it is for Release.  It could be as simple as chaning the target publishing server for the release configuration.
