    My name samerto , and have real problem . i used sql server 2000 sp3a and work it fine but in other side of other server connected with my pc will have some times hanged database .what the error of my system??

    Ok,thanks i am sorry of my lanuage . i used job method Transact ,and connect via internet with other side,he always tell me that my pc make hang to his pc i dont know reson?

    MAY BE THERE IS A problem in dealing with lock ... the best thing is to run the query on the server (by making Stored Procedure on SQL SERVER) .. and with each table name in the query, add this statement "with (nolock)" .. so you read data as it is (not recently updated = not commited transaction), and you don't wait for locks to be free and you don't lock these tables, and any other transaction will complete successfully (for you and others) .
