Need clarification for the doubt in SCD

    SCD can perform

    Update and insert

    (or)

    insert/update and delete

    Which one is correct?.

    Are you talking about the SCD component in SSIS? Why don't you give it a try...create a test package and see if it is possible to delete records. Or read up about it in Books Online...

    As far as slowly changing dimensions go, data is usually never deleted but purely marked as "old".
