option (KEEPFIXED PLAN) working in 2005??

    Has anyone had experience using the query hint.. "  option (KEEPFIXED PLAN) " ?  If so, have you experienced this actually working as it's intended in SQL 2005?

    No, but I'm thinking that this is "Death by SQL" of the same magnitude as disabling the automatic recalculation of statistics.
