option (KEEPFIXED PLAN) working in 2005??

  • Has anyone had experience using the query hint.. "  option (KEEPFIXED PLAN) " ?  If so, have you experienced this actually working as it's intended in SQL 2005?

  • No, but I'm thinking that this is "Death by SQL" of the same magnitude as disabling the automatic recalculation of statistics.
