    The questions are taken at semi-random from a pool of questions. The exact number and breakdown will differ for each candidate. Check the list of skills covered over at the MS Learning site for a rough breakdown.

    As GilaMonster already mentioned, exact counts can't be given, but the percentages that you mentioned are roughly to be expected. Each tool has its development and maintenance chapters in the self-paced training kit, but SSAS has an extra data mining chapter, hence the possibility for a few extra questions on SSAS.

    I want to give the exam 70-448.

    Can anyone please guide me for this ?

    Step 1: Do you have experience working with the Microsoft BI platform (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS)? If yes, go to step 3. If not, go to step 2.

    Step 2: Get experience. Within a year from now, go to step 1.

    Step 3: Read the self paced training kit or follow a classroom training to fill in the gaps of your knowledge. I recommend doing both. The book contains a 15% discount voucher on the exam. While reading, experiment as much with the software as possible.

    Step 4: Make the practice questions that can be found on the cd-rom in the book. See that you understand every answer. If you do not understand it, look it up on MSDN or on this website.

    Step 5: If you have time left, read some articles, blog posts and watch some training videos on technet.

    Step 6: Take the exam.

    ps: at the Microsoft Learning website, you can subscribe to a "learning path", where you can follow your progress and where you can check out the things you've already done.

    Here is what I do...

    I take the list provided here http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/exam.aspx?ID=70-448#tab2 and go through each of the topics bit by bit. I google for blogs related to the topic and I search MSDN / BOL for info related to each topic.

    Then, based on the MS training material you already purchased, you need to practice the principles. Play with the product in a lab and become familiar with SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS.
