Patching SSRS to SP2 to match the SQL Server

    Hello,

    I plan to add the SSRS service on our SQL Server Database which is patched with SP2. When I install the SSRS, I would like to bring this up to SP2 as well to match the rest of the SQL software on the server.

    What would be the process for doing this? Do I need to run the SP2 Update for SQL Server? Is it going to detect the software that is not patched up and perform the necessary functions?

    Hi Mirde,

    you are correct - run the SQL Server setup and add SSRS. Once that is done you can install SP2, that should automatically detect which of the components haven't been updated and only update those.
