Permissions problem after upgradation to 2005

  • Hi.. We have done one upgraded SQL server 2000 to 2005 this saturday and we are facing with the permissions problem.

As we upgraded the prodction server, we took backup of all DBs,logins, jobs, settings.

The Upgradation was successful but client was ubable to transfer the pdf files from Production server to another server.

We tried by giving permissions to all other folders. But it didnt help.

    Any help??

    Thanks in advance

  • I'm guessing you mean you can't copy files with a direct sql command or by the agent. The service account used to run either/or the sql server engine and/or sql agent has to have correct permissions to the folder(s) concerned. Generally within a domain you'll need this account to be a domain account if you want to move files from one server to another.
