Problem authenticating ReportServer connection

    Hello,

    Thanks for looking at this. I have a pc that I've installed MSSQL 2008 on and have successfully configured a report server. However, when I attempt to connect to the report server home page I am being asked for a userid and password. This is confusing as I have not set up any userid and password with any of my install settings. I am the local admin on my machine so I'm not sure what to do? Can anyone please help with this?

    Do you get the prompt when accessing the report page locally on the server? If so, do you get it when going to http:\\localhost\reports as well as http:\\<servername>\reports or just when accessing via localhost?

    Hello and thank you for replying to my question.

    I get the prompt for Username and password if I try to connect with the http://<computername>/Reports

    and I get a website not found with the localhost/report url.

    Any ideas?
