PTS and Excel

  • Hello,

    Our project is to do HTTP reporting on an AS cube, using PTS and dynamical

    tables.

    Our environment is: SQL server 2K on a windows 2k server. We have  domain, IIS 6.

    Clients are using win2k pro or Winxp pro + excel 2000. All clients have latest PTS / MDAC / OWC10.

    We export pivot table from ASP pages to excel to do analysis.

    Problem:

    If i export a pivot table #1 to a file excel "a.xls" and pivot table #2 to another file "b.xls" all is ok.

    I create a new file "c.xls" with 2 sheet (f.e. sheet1 and sheet2) and , I copy the pivot from a.xls->sheet1 and the pivot from  b.xls->sheet2.

    It happens that everytime I click on pivot on sheet1 (or sheet2) it appears the domain logon form.

    It appears everytime I move my mouse on measures or dimension!!!!

    I'm domain administrator, and my pc is connetted to OLAP server by wired LAN.

  • I don't know if it helps but my very well informed colleagues means that Excel 2000 has a very bad/buggy Pivot function. Office XP and 2003 is much better. Can you try a newer version?

    Regards

    Johan
